DescriptionCheering crowds in Main Street, Upper Hutt, during Royal tour of New Zealand by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, 1953-1954. Photograph is taken outside the Council Chambers and shows the Royal Daimler.

Also included in the picture is the old Gospel Hall, which was built in 1913. By mid-1955 a new Gospel Hall was in use; the old hall had burnt down.
