The railcar the Royal couple are travelling in can be seen on the right hand side of the photo, passing through on its way to Masterton. On the left hand side three spectators can be seen. The railcar was using the Rimutaka Incline railway, which was also used by Fell Engines for goods trains, etc.Date takenJanuary 15 1954
