PhotographerChris WilsonDescriptionCaption: Floats of every description, marching girls, life size cartoon characters, even a Highway Patrol car became part of the big fan-filled procession that was the Stokes Valley Christmas Parade on Saturday.

The highlight of the parade, the old gentleman himself, Father Christmas, and his little
helpers were greeted on their arrival at the centre with cheers of excitement from the crowds of onlookers and shoppers.

Santa even received a surprise hug from a local Xena lookalike...it's hard work being Santa, all those presents to give out! Date taken16th December 1998
