DescriptionCaption: Believed to be the best Upper Hutt Christmas Parade in recent years, crowds turned out on Saturday afternoon to see the more than 50 floats bring Santa to town in the Upper Hutt Leader Santa Parade.
The parade, part of the McDonald's Outdoors in Upper Hutt summer programme, took almost and hour and a half to pass by.
Floats included many local community groups, from roller skating to a school jubilee, vintage machinery to marchers, dog training to Victim Support, a band, churches and a Christian dance group. Business floats included Runcimans' new double decker bus, ballet, car sales, and several retail stores.
