A different photograph of mother and daughter, along with father Russell Scobie, being presented with a silver christening mug by Mayor Percy Kinsman featured on the front page of the Leader on June 8, 1966. A photo of Betty and Jane Scobie also appeared in the Leader on May 29, 1974, to mark the 8th anniversary of Upper Hutt's City Status celebrations.
